Dr. Angeliki Tziaka is a General Adult Consultant Psychiatrist with a Liaison endorsement, integrating a diverse range of clinical approaches tailored to individual needs. Currently serving as an NHS Consultant Psychiatrist with Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, she devotes one day per week to leading expert care within the Bracknell Community Mental Health Team (CMHT). Since Summer 2023, Dr. Tziaka has been collaborating with the distinguished Professor Emeritus of Psychiatry, Marina Economou-Lalioti, operating a successful private clinic in Athens, offering specialized psychiatric services to a varied client base.

Her extensive clinical background includes roles in Community Psychiatry, Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Team (CRHTT), and Acute Inpatient settings within the NHS. Dr. Tziaka is recognized for providing detailed, complex psychiatric assessments and treatments across diverse diagnostic categories, honed through tenure in highly specialized psychiatric teams and generic health services.

As an active member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (RCPsych), Dr. Tziaka contributes to the General Adult Faculty and serves as the Regional Representative for General Adult Psychiatry in the RCPsych South East Division. She is committed to enhancing psychiatric standards and is involved in the MHA Approvals Panel for England South, ensuring adherence to best practices in mental health care.

Recognized as a skilled Trainer by the GMC, Dr. Tziaka has held pivotal roles as both Clinical and Educational Supervisor for psychiatric trainees. Currently, she serves as an Educational Supervisor for Core Psychiatric Trainees, nurturing future mental health professionals and guiding their career development.

In addition to her clinical roles, Dr. Tziaka has contributed significantly to clinical governance as a member of the West Berkshire Clinical Commissioning Group Funding Panel from 2019 to 2022. She completed rigorous Core and Higher Psychiatry Training in General Adult Psychiatry with a prestigious Liaison endorsement at Health Education Thames Valley (Oxford Deanery).

Her academic achievements include an MSc from Cardiff University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Law from Northumbria University. Dr. Tziaka’s medical journey began at Aristotle University in Thessaloniki, Greece, where they obtained their medical degree. This foundational training has been complemented by ongoing professional development and training in various therapeutic modalities, including psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioural, and compassion-focussed psychotherapeutic approaches. Dr Tziaka is also trained in the diagnosis and management of neurodevelopmental conditions in adults (Autism and ADHD), an area of special interest tpo her.
